This Short Sonata for Organ was created through a collaboration with the Peabody Institute’s organ department for soloist Nathan Ringkamp and was premiered on the 31st of January 2024. The music, being one of my most “simple” works, speaks to questions of purpose, humanity, and beyond. What is beyond us? It is what I think of when I hear the organ–a majestic instrument of incredible complexity, beauty, and simplicity.
