Disparate Crowns
Disparate Crowns is a reflection on brutality, purity, and regality. Heralded by a brass choir and the organ’s weight, three “crowns”—each represented by a unique style, harmony, and orchestration—battle for dominion across an auditory war zone. Each battle pits a variety of historical fanfares against one another, exploring ideas of war, divine rite, and power through a mix of clarity, majesty, and grit. Ultimately, just one may triumph.
