Premiered at the University of Redlands Conservatory of Music in November of 2022, Sextet for Winds & Piano, subtitled “From the Mind,” was written for a modified wind quintet and piano. The work explores the depths of the philosophical origins of music based on reflections of my own inner thoughts, musical ideas, and how those thoughts come from mind to paper.
